Agnes Gitau
Agnes is the Managing Partner at GBS Africa, where she provides political and economic risk intelligence and strategic market entry support to global publicly traded companies, start ups, governments and multilateral organizations with an interest in East Africa. She combines this with an executive position at the Eastern AfricaAssociation,where she plays a key role in promoting business growth and co-operation in the region and a role at 3VB’s International Advisory and Dispute resolution Unit. Agnes is a committee member,East Africa International Arbitration Conference (EAIAC, a platform that promotes Arbitration and alternative Dispute Resolutions); a member, the WTO gender Research Hub; With research interests which include economic diplomacy, Gulf Investments in the Horn of Africa, environmental, social and governance performance of International companies in East Africa. She has published and spoken widely on Financing Africa, Sustainable Finance ,geopolitics and role of corporations in development. She is the convener of the East Africa Islamic Summit, where she leads conversation on Islamic Economy & East Africa.
