Abdullahi joined SIB in 2023 to head SIB Najah, SIB’s Islamic Investment Banking division. Adan is an accomplished leader in the financial industry with a strong academic foundation and seventeen years’ experience in banking and management. He holds a Global Executive MBA from the United States International University (USIU), a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Kenya Methodist University, and a Diploma in Sales and Marketing from the University of Nairobi. He is also a graduate of Strathmore University’s Programme for Management Development.

Prior to joining SIB, Adan was the Chief Executive Officer of Sombank LTD, Somalia. He previously served as the Head of Consumer Banking in Gulf African Bank LTD and Head of Islamic Banking at Chase Bank Kenya, having risen through the ranks. He has also held various roles at First Community Bank LTD and ABC Bank LTD.

Adan’s leadership experience in the financial services sector, particularly in Islamic Finance, is crucial in establishing SIB Najah as the preferred Islamic Investment partner for ethical investors.
